Overview
A 110 sq ft apartment kitchen in Vasant Kunj, Delhi — converted from a cramped galley layout into an efficient L-shape with handle-less shutters and smarter storage.
Client brief
The old galley kitchen had a broken work triangle — fridge, sink and hob were all on one wall, causing constant congestion during cooking. The client wanted a handle-less, easy-to-clean look without losing storage.
Design approach
We converted the layout from galley to L-shape and repositioned the hob to fix the work triangle. Handle-less push-to-open shutters in a two-tone matte finish (charcoal base, off-white uppers), quartz countertop with an integrated drainboard groove near the sink, a tall pull-out larder unit to recover storage lost in the layout change, and under-cabinet LED strip lighting across the workspace.
